Hola! Habla Español!

Megan Frye, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Frye specializes in the assessment and treatment of developmental, behavioral, and emotional differences including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning difficulties, giftedness, anxiety, and trauma. Dr. Frye provides assessment and treatment services to children and families in both English and Spanish. She also provides clinical supervision and training in her clinic at Brave.

Dr. Frye draws primarily from cognitive behavioral and systems theory, as well as other evidence-based treatments including dialectical behavior, parent-child interaction, and mindfulness-based therapies. Her assessment and treatment is guided by a belief in the importance of collaborative problem solving and a supportive therapeutic relationship. She works closely with her clients and their families to understand individual strengths and help use those strengths to overcome challenges. Given her extensive background in community integrated health-care, Dr. Frye also consults and collaborates with schools and other community providers to help encourage consistent support across all environments in a child or adolescent’s life and makes sure kids are supported outside of clinic walls.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Frye is an Attending Psychologist and the Lead of Consultation in School-Based Behavioral Health at Seattle Children’s Hospital where she provides clinical consultation and training focused on school mental health across the country. Prior to her current role at Seattle Children's, Dr. Frye founded and led the autism evaluation clinic in primary care at the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic from 2016-2025. She holds a PhD. in school psychology from the University of Washington. She completed a general child clinical psychology internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and a post-doctoral clinical fellowship in the Bernier Research Lab at the University of Washington Autism Center. She also holds a master’s degree in school psychology from Humboldt State University and worked as a school psychologist and licensed mental health counselor locally in schools in the US as well as internationally in South America.
